The World Economic and Technology Organization (WOET, Diplomatic Code 491) was established on December 15, 2006, by a group of international experts and scholars in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. It is a research-based international organization with legal entity status. The organization is dedicated to promoting comprehensive development in Africa through scientific, economic, and technological tools, and improving the welfare of people globally, especially in Africa.
The World Economic and Technology Organization (WOET) is officially registered with the United Nations and has an office there. It is also a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council. Additionally, WOET has ambassador-level representation in international regional organizations such as the European Union (EU), African Union (AU), and Arab League (AL).
Support and Cooperation
The World Economic and Technology Organization (WOET) signed a headquarters agreement with the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire on November 10, 2010, officially acquiring diplomatic status as a United Nations affiliated international organization. Since June 1, 2015, WOET has begun establishing multiple representative offices worldwide as technical support hubs, receiving technical and financial support from professional institutions and funding from development partners.
